The Origin of Real Atelier Co.

I've founded my ground-breaking clothing and lifestyle brand Real Atelier Co. for a two-fold purpose. First, because I envision a better maternity and postpartum brand. We need someone making clothes that fit and function for maternity and postpartum that are also an everyday elevation, timeless in their design, made to last through many trips to the washing machine and the demands of life in general. Second, what if these beautiful clothing pieces work just as well for non-pregnant women need in need some extra size fluctuation accommodation? Let's make these clothes discreetly adaptable and not obviously maternity specific.

I'm Hannah, and both of these goals are incredibly near and dear to my life as a woman, wife and mother of 2. I'm bringing to life hero clothing pieces that solve the typical woman's dilemma between choosing beautiful or functional clothing in the midst of motherhood and womanhood, as we believe in giving women both. 

As someone who lives with an autoimmune disease, I find myself in need of pieces that give me a little extra grace-- some adjustability in the abdomen in particular-- on days (or weeks) when I'm experiencing a flare up. Even if this doesn't hit home for you, imagine clothes that continue to fit you well when you're at that time of the month? As you can see, there's a really underserved niche of those of us who could benefit from a more intentional, adjustable design!

We craft beautiful clothes that can be worn throughout an entire pregnancy, have secret, easy breastfeeding access for nursing your baby, and can even be worn long after giving birth. How? Our pieces don't look obviously like maternity or breastfeeding clothes. The fit, including the waistline of our garments are designed to be adjusted to your body, to match whatever stage of life you're in.

Tired of having a maternity wardrobe that I never touched again after the birth of my babies, I hear a great desire in the hearts of good friends from many conversations had for fashion that can adapt with women's changing bodies. I've created this brand out of a lifelong love for style and design, especially for all that is vintage, ethereal, quietly luxurious and outside of time while gently within it.

I'm a firm believer that the right clothes should never become obsolete in a your wardrobe.
